ROISÍN McDONOUGH took up the post as Chief Executive of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland in October 2000.

She has worked in central and local government as well as in the community and voluntary sector throughout her career.  Prior to her current appointment, she worked in the field of regeneration.

She is currently a member of Creative & Cultural Skills Board, leading the Northern Ireland Employers’ Group and she is Chair of the Women Chief Executives’ forum.
